The Care for the Caring Project has been developed  ​because we want to show our gratitude to you for everything you do to support the people in your care.  ​While we know that many of the causes of stress to healthcare workers, especially due to the COVID pandemic, are unavoidable, we offer you this project with some strategies that we hope will help you to alleviate your stress and cope better with the situations that can't necessarily be changed.  
The programme is a mindfulness exercise with positive affirmations posted daily for the first week and then once a week on Instagram.  You can access the affirmations as many or as few times as you like. You might find they are the most helpful prior to your shift, ​in odd moments during the day when you need something to keep you going, or after work ​when you need to unwind. If you find you like a particular affirmation you might choose to use ​just that one repeatedly, as often as you need it. The content was  trialed with a group of healthcare professionals who found it  beneficial. We hope you will find it equally useful.
